Onega-Energy

A 43MW boiler station running on sawmill waste was built in 2006 to supply heat to the town of Onega. One major benefit from the construction of the boiler station was a significant improvement in the environmental situation.

2019 saw the construction of the largest boiler station running on bark and timber waste as opposed to non-renewable fossil fuels in Russia's Northwest. The boiler station is going to supply heat to Onega Sawmills and the population of Onega. The use of bark and timber waste as raw materials and a decrease in diesel fuel consumption going forward will significantly improve the environmental performance of the company while boosting the total capacity of Onega-Energy by 30%.
