On September 19, Segezha Group, together with residents of the village of Purnema, opened an ecological trail "Birds, Fish and Whales" and an observation tower with a panoramic view of the White Sea in the coastal part of the Onega Bay. A tower has been installed on the shore of the White Sea near Cape Glubokiy, designed to monitor snow-white beluga whales.
The implementation of the project began with the support of Segezha Group back in 2018.
The tower is made at the Sokolsky DOCK. The structure is built in the form of a hexagon, the base of which is about 6 meters. The height of the lighthouse is 11.7 meters. The tower is equipped with special viewing windows for observing

During 2021, the company actively worked to create comfortable conditions in a single—industry town, where more than two thousand residents are employees of the Segezha Pulp and Paper Mill. The highest priority needs of local residents were taken into account.
In particular, they created the concept of a new city park, equipped the city beach from scratch, repaired roads, built playgrounds and sports grounds, together with the Northern College developed a training program for specialists to work at the plant.

With the support of Segezha Group, the opening of the "Point of Growth" classrooms took place on the basis of school No. 6 in Segezha. The purpose of such classes is to provide an opportunity for all school—age children, regardless of their place of residence, to study for free using advanced technologies.
Classrooms where students can master modern technology and develop their talents were created within the framework of the federal project "Modern School" of the national project "Education". The funds were used to repair chemistry and biology classrooms, purchase furniture, projectors and interactive panels. The Ministry of Education and Sports of the Republic of Karelia provided the school with a specialized set of equipment with the funds of a subsidy. It includes modern digital laboratories in physics, biology and chemistry.
Such centers are being created in small towns of Russia and in rural areas so that schoolchildren have the opportunity to gain knowledge in digital, natural science, technical and humanitarian profiles.

One of the successful cases in the field of working with local communities and charity. The project is to develop social entrepreneurship, support the budgetary and non-profit spheres, and socially active citizens.
The geography of the project is the regions of the company's presence: the Republic of Karelia, the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the Arkhangelsk, Vologda regions.
2022 is the fourth year of the project.
