History

History

The idea to build a plywood plant in Sosnovoborsk was first presented to the government of Krasnoyarsk Territory in 2006. And in 2011, plywood, veneer and RUF fuel briquette production was launched at a facility then known as Yeniseysky Combined Plywood Works. It was officially declared bankrupt in 2014.

KRASFAN LLC, in turn, was founded in 2016 to revive plywood production. The company raised money from investors and won the bid to take possession of the former Yeniseysky Combined Plywood Works. A comprehensive overhaul of the facility began immediately.

Its capabilities were enhanced with additional innovative equipment, and cutting-edge production processes were launched. By 2017, the plant had resumed making plywood and fuel briquettes.

Today, the company operates on a full production cycle – from the procurement of raw materials to their added-value conversion. The end products are widely represented in the Russian, European and CIS markets.

In addition, KRASFAN LLC is the initiator of and participant in an industrial park project titled Sosnovoborsk. Lumber Tech 2021, part of Krasnoyarsk Territory's social and economic development strategy.

Since late 2021, KRASFAN LLC has been part of Segezha Group, a Sistema company.
