Production of sawn timber

The mill produces sawn timber from softwoods and industry-grade chips. It has a round timber sawing capacity of 297,000 cubic metres per year.

Sawn timber is dried, processed and packaged on Valmet and Plan-Sell equipment from Finland. Sawn timber is delivered by road and water in packages wrapped in film on five sides. 

History

History

The production facility was commissioned in 1940, originally as a sawmill for the Segezha Pulp and Paper Mill located in Segezha, the Republic of Karelia.

Segezha Sawmills has been a subsidiary of Sistema's Segezha Group since 2014.

Segezha Sawmills primarily sells its products to clients in Europe, including such countries as the UK, Holland, Belgium, Denmark, France, and Italy.
