LUMBERING — KRASNOYARSK KRAI

Core operations: timber harvesting, construction and maintenance of year-round roads (about 600 km per year), forest care and reforestation in the forest plots of Lesosibirskiy LDK No.1 and KsyloTech-Siberia, transportation and rafting of raw lumber to points of consumption. 

Timber is harvested using the whip and cut-to-length processes on John Deere and Caterpillar harvesters. 

The total leased forest is about 1.55 million hectares. The estimated annual logging volume is 1,685,000 cubic metres. 

The total timber harvested is more than 1 million cubic metres per year. 

History

History

Lesosibirskiy LDK No. 1 started harvesting raw lumber independently in 1992. The company has four timber-harvesting branches located on the banks of the main waterways of Krasnoyarsk Krai, the Angara and Yenisei: the Yartevsky, Tagarinsky, Shiversky and Motyginsky harvesting companies.  

Timber is harvested in plots leased by KsyloTech-Siberia and located in the Yeniseisky, Nizhne-Yeniseisky and Motyginsky forestries.
