Lumbering - Kirov region

Timber harvesting, forest care and reforestation in the region are carried out by a branch of Vyatka Plywood Mill (Vyatka-Les-Invest prior to acquisition by Vyatka Plywood Mill). 

The leased forest plots have a total area of 251,000 hectares; the estimated annual logging volume is 538,000 cubic metres (251,000 hectares), the annual timber harvesting volume is 350,000 cubic metres. 

The timber harvesting sites are being logged by contractors. 

The products comprise raw timber (logs) of deciduous and coniferous species, which are shipped to timber processing companies in Kirov Region. Plywood logs and birch pulpwood are shipped to Vyatka Plywood Mill. 

The company has 3 production sites. 

31% of the output is shipped to other companies of the group. 

History

History

Vyatka Forest Invest Group was registered with the Ministry of Industry of the Russian Federation on 9 October 1996 under No. 023 on the basis of Law of the Russian Federation No. 190-FZ dated 30 November 1995 on Financial and Industrial Groups. 

Initially, Vyatka Forest Invest Group included a number of timber harvesting companies.    

All the member companies decided to join the group at general shareholder meetings.  

At the time of registration, the group controlled assets worth RUB 7,233 million.
