Segezha Packaging starts digital transformation with implementation of unified ERP system
On February 25 the first meeting dedicated to the digital transformation and the implementation of the SAP Business One Platform for Segezha Packaging took place in Bucharest, Romania. This project will include the introduction of the unified ERP system for all production plants of Segezha Packaging in Europe. It is aiming to standardize the main business processes across different locations to increase efficiency, as well as to provide with advanced tools including analytics to enhance operational efficiency and decision-making processes.
The meeting was attended by Vice President for Information Technology and Automation, Pavel Vakhnin, Managing Directors and Financial Controllers of Segezha Packaging plants in Romania and Turkey, members of the IT and Operational teams and representatives from VISEO, an implementation partner for this project.
“This project is unique in terms of scale,” said Vice President for Information Technology and Automation. “The new management system will help to achieve different business objectives, including business processes standardization in accordance with the industry best practices, and will allow effectively respond to changing requirements within the organization. It will have a massive impact on our company and improve its competitiveness.”
Within the introduction of the SAP Business One the company seeks to achieve the unification of business processes for Segezha Packaging production plants located in Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands, Italy, Turkey, Czech Republic and Romania.
According to the project schedule, the first changes will be implemented at SP Romania (Segezha Packaging S.R.L.) and SP Turkey (Segezha Ambalaj Sanayi Ve Ticaret Anonim Sirketi).
The successful digital transformation of Segezha Packaging will allow to achieve an increased transparency, boost operational and administrative efficiency, unify and speed key business processes and enhance business value .
The SAP Business One software is installed and used across 170 countries worldwide. With a centralized management model, most of the processes including production, supply, sales and logistics are controlled via a unified platform. The information with in-built analytics and reporting feature can be accessed via the convenient-to-use intuitive user interface installed on any digital device, i.e. personal computer or a mobile application.
