Segezha Group Purchases Ledinek Finger Jointing line for Sokolsky Woodworking Integrated Plant (Sokolsky DOK)

The Segezha Group Processing Timber Corporation (part of JSFC Sistema) has signed a preliminary agreement at the 17th International Lesdrevmash-2018 Exhibition in Expocenter (Moscow) in preparation for the signing of the contract on the intent to purchase the Finger Jointing line with the equipment manufacturer, Ledinek, a Slovenian-Austrian company.

The agreement was signed by Felix Voglhofer, Board Member of Ledinek, and Konstantin Pastukhov, Director General of JSC S-DOK. The contract is planned to be signed within the next few weeks.

Ledinek is one of the recognized leaders in manufacturing the equipment for the wood processing and furniture industry. The trademark of Ledinek Maschinen und Anlagen GmbH has been recognized as reputable in 25 countries of the world. The innovative cogging technologies for manufacturing laminated wood structures will be delivered to Sokolsky Woodworking Integrated Plant, the flagship unit of housing construction as part of the company’s ongoing modernization program.

Dmitry Rudenko, the Housing Construction division leader and Vice President of Segezha Group commented, "The line designed by Ledinek company is a fast and effective system of wood cogging for the manufacture of laminated building wood and glued laminated timber. This is a technically and strategically optimal solution for us." 

As the Vice President of the Timber Corporation said, the equipment boasts a number of innovations allowing for horizontal and vertical cogging of laminated structures.

"Such technologies are distinguished by precision processing and clogging of elements glued with the help of an ecologically perfect assembly adhesive. Pressed lamellae for glued laminated timber and laminated wood constructions can be manufactured in the range of width from 75 to 300 mm with the thickness between 20 and 80 mm. Structural timber of different length can be produced, according to the individual customer’s requirements. This is a big advantage for us,” Housing Construction Division leader said.

The next step taken by Segezha Group in the process of modernizing Sokolsky DOK will be the construction of a plant which manufactures CLT panels, building materials of the future. Now the Group is in the process of selecting a potential supplier of CLT equipment.

Lesdrevmash-2018 Exhibition takes place in Moscow within the 9th Forest and Man International Forum.
