Segezha Pulp and Paper Mill

Segezha Pulp and Paper Mill, one of the flagships of the pulp and paper industry, was built in 1939.

The mill has passed several cycles of modernization and reconstruction, as a result of which it is now able to produce up to 375 thousand tons of kraft paper sack, including high-strength microcreped paper. Segezha Pulp and Paper Mill is the only producer of high-porous high-strength kraft paper in Russia.

The wood-chemical production of the mill also includes tall rosin, tallow pitch, tall oil, distilled tall oil, fatty acids and sulphate soap.

The products of the Segezha PPM are exported to more than 60 countries. The mill's capacities allow it to occupy the third place in the world in the sack paper production.

Since 2014, Segezha PPM JSC has been a part of Segezha Group Sistema JSFC Corporation.

In 2018, Segezha Pulp and Paper Mill completed a three-year modernization program, after entering the new PM 11, it reached its design capacity and produced 355 thousand tons of high-quality paper. Investments in modernization exceeded 14 billion rubles.

In early 2019, the investment project for the modernization of Segezha Pulp and Paper Mill JSC was included by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation in the priority list in the area of forest development. The new stage of renewal of the Segezha pulp and paper mill's capacity implies an increase in the company's productivity up to 600-700 thousand tons of paper per year.
